Gustave Riel I have traveled around the world and the song capturates some of the feelings you experience when you travel. Favorite track: Mr. Traveler.

To Be Alone 02:25
She walked into a wood Hoping she'd be missed But everywhere she looked A warm, familiar sadness She climbed up in a tree To watch for searching eyes But all that she could see Were the cold and starry skies She foolishly believed That the only single cure For her lonely heart to be free Is to be alone all the more But a lingering thought Begs to untie the knot That keeps her in her fear "Oh, I wish you were here"

Mr. Traveler 03:21
You're a restless breeze Searching for a home Across an endless sea You go, you go Mr. Traveler, I know There's a world for you to see In between your to and fro Won't you stay a while with me? Won't you stay a while with me? You're a neon sky Fleeing from the night No sign of slowing down Your feet don't touch the ground Mr. Traveler, I know There's a world for you to see In between your to and fro Won't you stay a while with me? Won't you stay a while with me? You've made a traveler out of me You've made a traveler out of me Mr. Traveler, I know There's still more world to see Forget your to and fro From now on, you'll fly with me From now on, you'll fly with me

Fair Weather 04:14
Silly smile and shoes untied Tiny hands and curious eyes Who would have ever known How fast the time would go? Dreamer, wake from your sleep Fair weather's coming And soon we'll fly Oh, we'll fly Into a sun Neverending Tired feet, you're a lost cause Funeral sheets, unbearable loss Who would have ever known How cold our hearts would grow? Dreamer, wake from your sleep Fair weather's coming And soon we'll fly Oh, we'll fly Into a sun Neverending Will you come back for me? Will you sing over me A song? Dreamer, wake from your sleep Fair weather's coming And soon we'll fly Oh, we'll fly Into a sun Neverending

Lungs full of unshed tears Lost time and stolen years Age only made me small Do you even love me at all? Do you know my fragile frame? Do you still smile at my name? Lost in a field of green Carried away by the wind Flown to a place unseen Shadows will mark where I've been Do you know my fragile frame? Do you still smile at my name? And the hands that hold me I know that I can trust And the hands that formed me Remember that I'm dust I am dust I am dust I am dust
5.
We fell in love back in September You said, all things must end Don't you remember? Mid-flight We started free-falling Out of the sky Sirens of red and blue Let's go back Back to the beginning When we were young And couldn't see the ending And the final word Unpredictable still Here we are again The tide is rushing in Sink or swim I'll be near Let's go back Back to the beginning When we were young And couldn't see the ending And the final word Unpredictable still And the final word Is that while you're near I'll love you, dear

about

Fair Weather is my first collection of original songs that I am releasing beyond the private confines of my journal. Although a part of me still regards songwriting as a deeply personal endeavor, I have been realizing more and more during this past year that music blooms through collaboration, sharing, and community. I hope that these small snippets of my questioning and reflecting can be meaningful to you.

Thank you to my friends and family who have loved me, supported me, and helped me to be brave in releasing this EP!

*These tracks are by no means professionally recorded or produced. With just my guitar and my mic, I recorded these songs alone in my room. I am sharing my music for free to make it as accessible as possible, but if you enjoy what you hear, please consider making a donation to support future projects. Thank you for listening!
